Although eBay is a huge website and platform from which you can buy and sell items, there are still questions about an eBay account that you may need answering before you use eBay.
Everything you do on eBay involves your eBay account. You must have an eBay account before you can buy anything through the eBay website and you must also have an eBay account before you can sell anything through the eBay website.
In fact, when it comes to eBay, your eBay account is the most important part because without it you cannot buy or sell anything via eBay. Fortunately, getting an eBay account is free and there are no monthly fees for using your eBay account as a buyer.
If you want to sell anything via the eBay website then you must add some more information to your existing eBay account first. eBay do this to verify who you are and this is to protect eBay buyers from being ‘ripped off’.
eBay also does this to protect itself as they will be charging you fees for selling items on eBay. They want to make sure that you are who you say you.
When you eBay seller fees are due, eBay will send you an online invoice which can be viewed via your eBay account. You are also able to pay these fees from your eBay account interface using either a credit/debit card or your PayPal account.
We have set up a dedicated eBay Account FAQ page which answers some other eBay account questions that you may have. We will be adding more answers to this page and if you have any specific eBay account questions then please let us know so we can answer them and add the information to the page for other people to benefit from.
